5 Best Place to Eat in Colchester, Virginia

The Woodbridge-based company Tree Service Experts Co. travels frequently to the community of Colchester in Virginia in order to cut down trees in the area. The town of Colchester can be found north of Woodbridge in the State of Virginia. While we are in the area, we make an effort to taste local cuisines at a number of the area’s restaurants in an effort to identify a flavor profile that is authentically expressive of the area. If you are in need of food, this list has five different options for you to choose from.

Alli's Restaurant

We only dropped by Alli’s for lunch, and everything we ate was amazing! We placed an order for two Angus burgers and two veggie burgers, both of which came with sweet potato fries. I’ve never eaten a better veggie burger than this one! The burger’s flavor was perfected by the caramelized onions and mayonnaise, and it was served with some delectable sweet potato fries.

Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, so if it’s a nice day when you visit, be sure to sit outdoors! The staff members were all covered up. Given that it was a pretty quiet Sunday afternoon, we felt secure sitting inside.

We choose to add dessert to our delicious burgers to fulfill our hunger for sweets. We chose the Bourbon Bread Pudding after asking which dessert was the most popular there. The dish emerged from the kitchen looking really delicious. It looked as wonderful as it tasted. The strawberry purée that encircled the little tower of bliss and the vanilla ice cream that provided the dessert’s sweet ending nicely complemented the bourbon taste. The actual pudding was excellent. If you decide to visit, We highly suggest having the Bourbon Bread Pudding!

Fuse Box

We chose the general tso’s chicken, which was nonetheless excellent despite being a touch too spicy for us.

We loved the peking duck rolls the most! I ultimately decided to have one to go after our lunch.

The crab and asparagus soup was a particular favorite of my coworker. It had the same consistency as egg drop soup and was not salty or flavorful at all.

Cafe Miki

Who doesn’t want something cool to eat or drink? The soup from the Woodbridge Olive Garden wore off after a few hours in Potomac Mills Mall, and we felt the want to have dessert.

We did consider getting ice cream, but we settled on a slushie. The Passionfruit Slushie was my choice. Although this passion fruit slushie was tasty, it was the first to contain seeds.

The décor of this eatery is genuine. We observed smiles and laughter. something without a mask that has been seen for some time. Things we take for granted, but it was wonderful to see them in this way.

Waves of varying sizes made up the lines for this establishment. The wait wasn’t too lengthy because we encountered a smaller wave. However, you should be aware that the restrooms are not currently open to customers or visitors if you dine at this establishment. We can’t say for sure, but maybe this may change in two months or later.

Sprig's Coffee & Pastry Cafe

Amazing location. Excellent place for coffee, but it also has a fantastic menu with many food choices. We got a great croissant with perfectly scrambled eggs and bacon that was crunchy. It was delicious and fresh! Veterans who were formerly homeless makes coffee. This place has a fantastic, inviting atmosphere thanks to the management, Abbas. Worth seeing if you’re in the Courthouse Square neighborhood (right across from Westin Hotel and up street from Residence Inn)

Afghan Bistro

The staff here is really kind and attentive. My coworker and I came here for lunch for the first time, and we spoke for the first 10 to 15 minutes before deciding what to have. However, our server/waiter seemed unfazed by this and still came over a few times to ask us respectfully if we were okay and/or ready to order.

I ordered the frenched lamb chops, while my coworker ordered the lamb chop pair. His came with an eggplant side dish, whereas mine came with rice and chickpeas. Although he had never eaten eggplant before, his initial response was not nice, by the end of the meal he had consumed the entire thing! My only desire is that I had a better rice to chickpea ratio, but overall, this was a lunch portion and the ideal quantity of food. I also washed my plate empty.

We spoke at the table for another 15 to 20 minutes after we finished eating and paid without once feeling like we had overstayed our welcome. There is excellent hospitality here. The lamb chops were really soft, and the cuisine was well-seasoned and flavored. The Afghan Bistro is a hit throughout the book.
